The Journal of Law Studies, founded in 1981, is a four-monthly electronic scientific publication, with open access. Its Editorial Board is composed of renowned scholars affiliated to universities in Brazil, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Australia, Chile, United States of America, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Portugal.
The journal’s editorial line follows the main research areas developed by the research group, with focus on the critic study of Law field and the legal and political institutions, under the approach of democracy, state intervention, fundamental rights and justice theories, with a particular emphasis on issues inserted into the contact points with Public Law’s branches intimately connected with Constitutional Law, such as Administrative Law, Electoral Law and Theory of the State.
Currently, it is classified as Qualis A1 (top-rated) in the area of Law of CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - Brazilian Ministry of Education).
