A RESSIGNIFICAÇÃO DA DESMINAGEM COMO UM MEIO PARA A CONSECUÇÃO DO DESENVOLVIMENTO SUSTENTÁVEL

O presente trabalho objetiva a análise do papel das atividades para a prevenção e resolução de problemas causados por minas terrestres, munições cluster e outros explosivos remanescentes de guerra, ligando tal ação ao desenvolvimento sustentável. Para tanto, será utilizada uma metodologia de pesquisa com método crítico-dedutivo, baseando-se na leitura e análise das obras e da legislação internacional pertinente, a fim de demonstrar a essencialidade das ações post bellum de desminagem para o efetivo desenvolvimento econômico, social e ambiental, bem como para efetiva consecução dos direitos humanos nas comunidades que se reconstroem no contexto do pós-conflito.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this paper is to analyze in which ways the actions made towards the prevention and resolution of problems caused by landmines, cluster munitions and other explosive remnants of war are important to achieve a sustainable development. The methodology used in this article will be the critical-deductive approach, relying itself upon reading and analyzing literature and international legal framework on the matter, in order to demonstrate the crucial nature of post bellum mine action for effective economic, social and environmental development, as well as an effective assurance of the human rights of communities in reconstruction in an after-conflict context.
