OS IDOSOS NA INTERNET: uma análise da utilização da internet pelos idosos no Brasil

RESUMO

Analisa a utilização da internet pela população idosa no Brasil. A metodologia enfatiza um estudo qualitativo, por meio de levantamento bibliográfico e quantitativo, com a análise de dados secundários a respeito da utilização da internet a nível nacional. A adoção da internet é a mais instantânea em comparação com outras tecnologias como a eletricidade, o automóvel ou a televisão, porém ainda existe um grupo da população que demonstra pouca proximidade com essa tecnologia: o grupo dos idosos. Como resultado, demonstra que há um crescimento do número de acessos à internet pelo público idoso e a tendência de aumento.

ABSTRACT

Analyzes the use of the Internet by the elderly population in Brazil. The methodology emphasizes a qualitative study through a literature review and quantitative analysis with secondary data about the use of the Internet at the national level.The adoption of the internet is the most instantaneous compared with other technologies like the electricity, the automobile or the television, but there is still a group of people who show little proximity with this technology: the elderly group. As a result, it shows that there is a growing number of internet use by the elderly population and increasing trend.
