Limites e possibilidades no processo de trabalho dos cuidadores de idosos institucionalizados.

RESUMO

O presente artigo aborda pesquisa realizada junto à Universidade Federal do Pampa – RS, acerca da intervenção dos denominados cuidadores de idosos junto aos Municípios da fronteira Oeste do Rio Grande do Sul. Em primeiro lugar apresentará a contextualização das instituições onde foram realizados estudos referentes ao processo de trabalho dos cuidadores de idosos e em seguida refletirá sobre os atores do cuidado com o idoso e como se processa o ato de cuidar dentro das Instituições de Longa Permanência investigadas. O resultado da coleta de dados aparece a seguir com a análise dos mesmos, apresentando as características da população em estudo e avaliação posterior das questões relativas ao objeto de estudo ressaltando a invisibilidade das atividades desenvolvidas pelos cuidadores de instituições de longa permanência.

ABSTRACT

This article discusses research conducted at the Federal University of Pampa - RS, called on the intervention of caregivers for the elderly near the western border of the municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul. Firstly present the context of the institutions where studies have been conducted regarding the process working caregivers of the elderly and then the actors reflect on the care of the elderly and how it renders the act of care in long-stay institutions investigated. The result of data collection appears to follow with their analysis, showing the characteristics of the study population and further evaluation of issues relating to the object of study highlighting the invisibility of the activities performed by caregivers of long-stay institutions.
