INCLUSÃO FINANCEIRA, INOVAÇÃO E PROMOÇÃO AO DESENVOLVIMENTO SOCIAL E ECONÔMICO ATRAVÉS DO PIX

RESUMO

Objetivos: O artigo investigou a relação entre inclusão financeira e desenvolvimento social e econômico para, então, descrever a inclusão financeira no Brasil e as assimetrias regionais baseando-se na análise de dados. Após, analisou-se o arranjo de pagamento Pix sob a ótica de suas inovações tecnológicas para investigar a sua atuação na concretização da democracia financeira e desenvolvimento.

Metodologia: O trabalho utilizou-se do método hipotético-dedutivo através de ferramentas de pesquisa bibliográfica e análise de dados e tendo como referencial teórico a obra de Amartya Sen.

Resultados: Concluiu-se pela necessidade de democratização dos sistemas financeiros para promover o desenvolvimento social e econômico e a importância do Pix para promover a cidadania financeira.

Contribuição: A contribuição deste estudo foi fornecer uma avaliação crítica em relação ao cenário de inclusão financeira no Brasil a fim de averiguar os seus desdobramentos no campo do desenvolvimento social e econômico e quais os possíveis efeitos da introdução do Pix dentro deste contexto.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The article investigated the relationship between financial inclusion and social-economic development to then describe the financial inclusion in Brazil and regional asymmetries based on data analysis. Afterwards, the Pix payment arrangement was analyzed from the perspective of its technological innovations to investigate its role in the concretization of financial democracy and development.

Methodology: This work used the hypothetical-deductive method through bibliographic research and data analysis tools and having the Amartya Sen’s research as a theoretical system.

Results: It was concluded by the need for democratization of financial systems to promote social-economic development and the importance of Pix to promote financial citizenship.

Contributions: The contribution of this study was to provide a critical assessment in relation to the finantial inclusion scenario in Brazil in order to ascertain its outcomes in the field of social and economic development and what are the possible effects of the introduction of Pix within this context.
