REVISITANDO O MODELO DE INTERNACIONALIZAÇÃO DE UPPSALA À LUZ DO EMPREENDEDORISMO IMIGRANTE
Abstract

The present paper proposes, through a theoretical essay, to promote the discussion of theories of immigrant entrepreneurship by performing an analysis of three elements of the Uppsala Model: incremental gradualism, nature and role of learning, and vision of risk and uncertainty. The analysis encompasses the reality of typical immigrant entrepreneurs, who experience either illegal immigration or are hosted as refugees, managing to overcome barriers that arise in the formation of their immigrant businesses, usually inserted in ethnic enclaves´ environment.
