O presente artigo busca analisar os elementos de conexão entre os documentos formuladores da chamada “Doutrina Social da Igreja Católica” e a reflexão jurídica sobre os direitos humanos, sobretudo na especificidade dos temas ambientais. Como enfoque teórico, observaremos o reconhecimento de um pluralismo político e jurídico que, naturalmente, estabelece diálogo com concepções teológicas que ensejam esclarecimentos sobre o modo como um importante setor de mobilização social pode contribuir para a reflexão sobre a temática dos direitos em sua angulação ambiental. Nesse panorama, no esteio de importantes documentos pontifícios a Encíclica Laudato Si’ pode ser vista como portadora de específico entendimento que sintetiza o desenvolvimento de construções teológicas assinaladoras de direitos e deveres que reforçam uma visão integrativa sobre a problemática aqui enfocada.

ABSTRACT

This article seeks to analyze the elements of connection between the formulators of the so - called "Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church" and legal reflection on human rights, especially in the specificity of environmental themes. As a theoretical approach, we will observe the recognition of a political and juridical pluralism that, naturally, establishes dialogue with theological conceptions that provide clarification on how an important sector of social mobilization can contribute to the reflection on the subject of rights in its environmental angulation. In this panorama, in the mainstay of important pontifical documents, the Encyclical Laudato Si 'can be seen as having a specific understanding that synthesizes the development of theological constructions that signal rights and duties that reinforce an integrative vision on the issues addressed here.
