O INDIVIDUALISMO: O PILAR PARA A CONSTRUÇÃO DE UM ESTADO DE LIBERDADE

O presente artigo pretende trazer ao conhecimento uma das ideias mais criticadas e incompreendidas pela generalidade da ciência jurídica e política – o individualismo. São várias as perspetivas através das quais é possível estudar o individualismo, desde as suas implicações morais e sociais até às políticas e económicas, mas são estás duas últimas vertentes que o texto irá abordar. O objetivo do mesmo é dotar a atual doutrina de uma perspetiva dogmática acerca do tema e que permita a construção de um Estado pós-moderno centrado no princípio da liberdade individual dos indivíduos que a compõem.

ABSTRACT

This article aims to bring to the knowledge one the most criticized and misunderstood ideas of legal and political science – the individualism. There are several perspectives through which individualism can be studied, from its moral and social implications to political and economic ones, but these are the last two strands that the text will explore. The purpose of this is to endow the current doctrine with a dogmatic and to allow the construction of a postmodern State centered on the principle of individual freedom of the individuals that compose it.
