ESTADO DA ARTE E TÓPICOS EMERGENTES EM CRIPTOMOEDAS: UM ESTUDO BIBLIOMÉTRICO E DE REDES NA ÁREA DE NEGÓCIOS, GESTÃO E CONTABILIDADE

Resumo


Criptomoeda é o nome genérico para moedas digitais descentralizadas, criadas em uma rede blockchain a partir de sistemas avançados de criptografia que protegem suas informações. As criptomoedas, que inicialmente pareciam ser apenas uma curiosidade tecnológica, atualmente indicam grande potencial de impactar significativamente na conduta futura dos negócios.  Não obstante tal entusiasmo, as pesquisas em torno do tema apenas começaram a surgir, constituindo um tópico em consolidação e, em grande parte, inexplorado. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar as pesquisas publicadas acerca do tema de criptomoedas na área de negócios, gestão e contabilidade. Foi utilizada como base de dados a Scopus, sendo encontrados 453 artigos, analisados em termos de citação, autoria, redes de colaboração, periódicos, países e temas de pesquisa e referências. Observou-se que as pesquisas sobre a temática de criptomoedas estão em curva exponencial crescente de interesse nas áreas de negócios, gestão e contabilidade. As discussões sugerem que os pesquisadores podem se aprofundar nas suas oportunidades de pesquisa examinando os impactos do advento das criptomoedas no contexto organizacional, bem como da sua tecnologia subjacente, o blockchain. Por fim, uma agenda de pesquisa futura para o tema de criptomoedas é sugerida quanto a tópicos emergentes.
