Maria de Fátima de Castro Tavares Monteiro Pacheco is an Adjunct Professor at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of Porto (ISCAP, I.P.P.) since October 1997. She is an integrated member of the Center for Studies in European Union Law at the University of Minho (CEDU), JusGov, and the Center for Intercultural Studies at ISCAP, I.P.P. (CEI-ISCAP), as an associate member, and is a member of the Scientific Arbitration Committee of Revista Jurídica Portucalense (RJP).

In the teaching areas, it offers the following curricular units of Labour and Business Law, Fundamental Notions of Law, European Union Law, International Law and International Organizations and Business Law at ISCAP (Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto) since 1998.Labour and Business Law, Fundamental Notions of Law, European Union Law, International Law and International Organizations and Business Law at ISCAP (Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto) since 1998.
Law graduate since 1987, Maria de Fátima Pacheco concluded a post-graduate on European Studies at Universidade de Coimbra in 1995 and a Master’s degree at Universidade Portucalense in 1997. Keeping in touch with the current trends on academia and several other post-graduate courses in from 1998 until 2013, she took her PhD title in 2015. The thesis is about “Between limits and expandability: the horizontal provisions of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union”, obtained at Universidade Católica do Porto.
Recent teaching activities also includes events as a guest European Law lecturer at Instituto Federal do Triângulo Mineiro, Minas-Gerais, Brasil, Facultade de Derecho da Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, as well as a European Law trainer for the Portuguese Bar Association.
