As micro e pequenas empresas estão cada vez mais presentes junto ao crescimento da economia brasileira. Para estas empresas se manterem e se firmarem no mercado tornou-se necessário utilizar-se das ferramentas estratégicas. Este trabalho discutiu as necessidades do planejamento estratégico e as formas de organização, identificando as ferramentas importantes para o gestor. Apresenta os percalços da importância da aplicação do planejamento estratégico pelo gestor, falta de conhecimento deste e como implica na taxa de mortalidade do pequeno negócio. Através da pesquisa bibliográfica verificou-se que a falta de aplicação do planejamento estratégico, conhecimento do empresário e da gestão nas micro e pequenas empresas são fatores que envolvem no aumento da taxa de mortalidade das empresas.

ABSTRACT

Micro and small companies are increasingly present along with the growth of the Brazilian economy. For these companies to remain and establish themselves in the market became necessary to use the strategic tools. This paper discussed the needs of strategic planning and organizational forms, identifying the important tools for the manager. It presents the mishaps of the importance of the application of the strategic planning by the manager, lack of knowledge of this one and how it implies in the mortality rate of the small business. Through the bibliographic research it was verified that the lack of application of the strategic planning, knowledge of the entrepreneur and the management in the micro and small companies are factors that involve in the increase of the rate of mortality of the companies.
