Segurança internacional: o caso haitiano no conselho de segurança.

Segurança internacional  é um tema que sempre esteve presente na agenda das Relações Internacionais. Com o fim da guerra fria, o conceito de segurança internacional voltou aser tema de debate nas principais academias mundiais, uma vez que  o conceito de segurança trazido pela teoria então vigente não mais abrangia todas as esferas da segurança internacional. Nesse contexto, surgiu a Escola de Copenhague com o objetivo de estudar a paz e trouxe grandes contribuições para os estudos sobre segurança. Ao utilizar a metodologia de estudo de casos, este trabalho tem como objetivo aplicar a teoria sobre securitização da Escola de Copenhague ao caso da crise do Haiti, buscando quais foram os principais agentes securitizadores da ameaça haitiana no Conselho de Segurança até o ano de 1994, data da primeira intervenção militar. Portanto, no presente artigoadotamos a hipótese de que os Estados Unidos da América foram os principais agentes nesse caso.

ABSTRACT

International security is a theme that has always been on the agenda of the international relations. With the end of the Cold War, the concept of international security has regained its debating force within the world's leading academies, since the concept brought up by then current theory no longer covered all of its aspects. In this context is the Copenhagen School, with the goal of studying peace and bringing in large contributions to security studies. By using the methodology of case studies, this work tries to apply the theory  of securitization of the school of Copenhagen to the case of the Haiti crisis, seeking to find the main agents of securitizers that threatened Haitian Security Council until the year 1994, the date of the first military intervention. This article adopts the hypothesis that the United States of America were the main agents in this case.
