Estado, soberania e poder: uma visão a partir da sociedade internacional

Abstract

RESUMO

Por meio da Paz de Vestfália, em 1648, o Estado moderno se consolida na sociedade internacional como seu principal ator e também como poder soberano, livre de qualquer vínculo de dependência a outros poderes inferiores ou superiores. Dessa forma, neste artigo, procede-se a um estudo do Estado moderno. É que a Paz de Vestfália não apenas marcou a derrocada da supremacia da Igreja e do império, portanto da descentralização do poder, mas também assinalou o surgimento da sociedade internacional moderna integrada por Estados iguais, independentes e soberanos.

ABSTRACT

From the Peace of  Vestfália, in 1648, the State modern been consolidated in international society as main actor and also as a sovereign power, free from any relationship of dependency on other powers lower or higher. Thus, in the pages that follow there will a study of the modern State. It is that the Peace Vestfália not only marked the collapse of the supremacy of the Church and the Empire and therefore, the decentralization of power, but also marked the emergence of modern international society composed of States equal, independent and sovereign.
