Nesse aspecto, o presente trabalho almeja elucidar as interconexões conceituais e práticas estabelecidas entre as relações-públicas internacionais e a diplomacia ambiental.

ABSTRACT

Environmental diplomacy from the perspective of strengthening global governance enables negotiations to lead to multilateral diplomacy and allow for a paradigm shift in the scarcity's collective management inherited by contemporary society. In this regard, this paper aims to clarify the conceptual and practical interconnections established between international public relations and environmental diplomacy. In the end, it will be possible to conclude that, by today's standards, there is still a gap in the existence of norms and debates regarding the essentiality of diplomacy in its recognizable form from the environmental perspective, even though its evolution has made it possible for the major events of modern international diplomacy to dramatically shape the world in which we live.

Keywords: environmental diplomacy; global governance; international dialogue; cooperation; environment.
