A evolução do processo democrático brasileiro e argentino

RESUMO

Sabe-se que a ideia original do termo democracia quer dizer o governo do povo, para o povo e pelo povo. Dessa maneira, esse termo funda-se nos ideais de liberdade, igualdade e respeito à lei. Historicamente, a construção da democracia encontrou muitas dificuldades em seu caminho, especialmente em países como o Brasil e Argentina. Por isso, esse artigo tem como objetivo analisar a evolução da democracia nesses dois países, partindo de uma análise bibliográfica. A escolha do assunto é pertinente, pois existem algumas semelhanças na evolução do processo democrático nos dois países. No Brasil, o marco histórico da volta da democracia foi sem dúvida, o fim da ditadura militar no ano de 1984 e as eleições livres em 1989. Na Argentina, a evolução da democracia encontrou vários percalços, como os golpes militares que trouxe consequências desastrosas para o país. Atualmente, a construção da democracia está avançando muito nos dois países, embora no Brasil ainda encontramos desigualdades sociais, violência, desrespeito aos direitos humanos. A Argentina, por sua vez, deu um grande passo em direção à consolidação da democracia, oportunizada pelo respeito aos direitos humanos, reconhecidamente uma das marcas registradas do atual regime.

ABSTRACT

It is known that the original idea of the word democracy means government by the people, for the people and by the people. In this way the term is founded on the ideals of liberty, equality and respect for the law. Historically, the establishment of democracy encountered many difficulties in his way, especially in countries like Brazil and Argentina. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the evolution of democracy in these two countries, based on a literature review. The choice of subject is relevant because there are some similarities in the evolution of the democratic process in the two countries. In Brazil, the landmark of the return of democracy was undoubtedly the end of the military dictatorship in 1984 and elections in 1989. In Argentina, the evolution of democracy encountered several mishaps, such as military coups that brought disastrous consequences for the country. Currently, the construction of democracy is advancing far in the two countries, but in Brazil we still find social inequalities, violence and human rights abuses. Argentina, meanwhile, took a big step towards the consolidation of democracy, nurtured by respect for human rights, recognized as one of the hallmarks of the current system
