Enviar artigo via e-mail EL CONFLICTO EN REPÚBLICA DEMOCRÁTICA DEL CONGO: EL PAPEL DE MONUSCO EN LA ERRADICACIÓN DE LA VIOLENCIA SEXUAL CONTRA MUJERES
Resumo
Objetivo: Desde que en 1994 se publicase la Declaración sobre la Eliminación de la Violencia contra la Mujer, la República Democrática del Congo ha sido el foco de las proclamaciones internacionales y las investigaciones académicas para la lucha contra la violencia sexual a mujeres en situaciones de conflicto armado. Dado que la violencia sexual contra las mujeres permanece en la dinámica del conflicto congoleño, la presente investigación busca asentar una respuesta a la perpetuación de la violencia sexual contra las mujeres en el país estableciendo una relación causal entre dicho factor y la participación de mujeres en la Misión de la Organización de Naciones Unidas para la Estabilización de República Democrática del Congo (MONUSCO). Metodología: Realizaremos una investigación de estudio de caso a través del análisis de documentos públicos, y de carácter académico. Resultados: Se concluye que existe una relación aparente entre la falta de mujeres en MONUSCO y la continua perpetración de la violencia sexual contra mujeres en República Democrática del Congo, destacando la necesidad de introducir un enfoque de género al abordaje de la problemática. Contribución: La investigación supone la incorporación de un análisis multidimensional en la literatura, coadyuvando así a nuevos enfoques para la erradicación de la violencia sexual contra las mujeres en entornos de conflicto.
